The Fourth of July is almost here. How do I know? The only thing that you will ever see in Vancouver Washington that outnumbers the real estate signs, is the firework stands that pop up around town during the weeks leading up to our nations birthday! Yes, it is our right to blow things up in celebration.

Don't get me wrong, I love fireworks. Being a native Californian, I was in heaven on my first Fourth up here in Vancouver. For weeks I went around telling people that I couldn't believe the kind of stuff that one could buy up here "over the counter." Mortars? Roman candles that shoot out fireballs? It just doesn't get any better than that! (Well, I did hear that you can buy some crazy stuff at the Indian reservations. Maybe I will write about that this time next year.)

Right now I am sitting at our model home at Ashley Manor. Ashley Manor is in Felida, a neighborhood in Vancouver Washington. Ashley Manor is a neighborhood of 10 custom homes starting in the $600,000 range. The builders, Morgan Broderick, build awesome custom homes and we are very excited to be part of this project.

Today is the first day that we have had the model open and it looks like it is going to be busy. Open 45 minutes and I have already had two groups tour through. We are still about 2 weeks our from our grand opening. Today is just a way to test the waters to see what kind of response we can expect. So far, I am really happy.

I have another couple coming up the front walk. I have to go!

Here I am. Today I am taking my first step into this vast new world of blogging. Well, its new to me. It is kind of strange to me that it has taken so long. Everyone who knows me will tell you that I have no shortage of opinions about things. They will also say that I am not shy about sharing those opinions. I don't mind sharing ideas either. As a matter of fact, that is kind of how I ended up here. It goes a little like this:

I teach classes at Keller Williams in Vancouver Washington as part of my responsibility for being a member of the Agent Leadership Committee. On the last Thursday of each month I teach a class on listing presentations. This works well for me as it feeds that part of my ego that likes to share ideas and information. It came to my attention that that an agent out of our Portland office, Todd Clark, was going to be teaching a class on blogging that started right after my class ended. The rest is history! Todd Clark is an "Uber Blogger" to the tenth degree and I am glad that I took the time to sit in on his class.

So, in a nutshell, thanks to Todd, Here I am!
