Right now I am sitting at our model home at Ashley Manor. Ashley Manor is in Felida, a neighborhood in Vancouver Washington. Ashley Manor is a neighborhood of 10 custom homes starting in the $600,000 range. The builders, Morgan Broderick, build awesome custom homes and we are very excited to be part of this project.
Today is the first day that we have had the model open and it looks like it is going to be busy. Open 45 minutes and I have already had two groups tour through. We are still about 2 weeks our from our grand opening. Today is just a way to test the waters to see what kind of response we can expect. So far, I am really happy.
I have another couple coming up the front walk. I have to go!

Mark, how do you plan to advertise this open house? Are doing anything online such as virtual tours?
All of our listing get a fairly intense online marketing plan. They are listed on each of the 3 MLS systems that we subscribe to (RMLS, NWMLS, and KWLS), Postletv flier is created and distributed, Visual tour is created and distributed, we use a service that pushes each listing out to the top 100 real estate site (Trulia, Zillow, etc), and Craigslist. Also, we are working on a full page in the Real Estate Book that will be dedicated to this subdivision. Real Estate Book has their own web presence and of course there are dozens of sites that feed off of the 3 MLS sites, Postlet.com, and VisualTours. com.
This one is a bit tricky. Firstly, it isn't finished so the visual tour is on hold for a few more days. There are no appliances in the kitchen, there are holes in the ceilings for the sound system, and there are some knobs and things that need to be installed. Secondly, it is a model home. Although it is technically for sale, we would prefer to sell another lot and build a custom home on it.
